I am fascinated by the way watercolour pigments run into one another and can have a mind of their own. Objects that have seen better days as well as a gentle harmonious blending of colours with lost and found edges feature predominantly in my work. Capturing the essence of an object or scene—that something which defines its essential character or mood, that something which brings to life what a photograph cannot—is my goal.
